For the second time I was invited to take part in a project by the Ajudaris Foundation – Associação de Solidariedade Social from Portugal. It’s an initiative where children write stories, and illustrators from all over the world create illustrations for them.
Every creative project starts with a problem.
For this illustration, the challenge wasn’t to create something beautiful.
It was to create something that makes a child want to turn the page.
I had the pleasure of illustrating a story for Ajudaris, a Portuguese charity that publishes children’s books to support families in need.
Every character, every expression and every tiny detail was designed with one goal in mind: to spark curiosity and invite children into the story.
Because I believe the best illustrations don’t just decorate a book.
They become part of the adventure.
